High Definition Lenses or Digital Lenses, refers to how the lens is surfaced. For starters, Conventional surfacing is making no more than two different cuts on the back side of a lens. That lens front surface, in a progressive, has the progression molded on the lens. Digital surfacing is basically taking a spherical front surface and putting a topical graphic map of your prescription on the back surface. Doing this not only gets the prescription closer to your eye, but we are able to make the prescription even better. By taking more measurements of how the frames sit on you, we can custom make lenses for each individual frame.
